Concerts are great, and everyone should strive to witness as much good live music as possible. With that in mind, I’m leaving tomorrow on my Sweden-England trip and will subject myself to unprecedented levels of awesomeness.

Here’s a list of just some of the bands I’ll be seeing, as well as samples of their work to make you burst with envy.

  • Opeth - I’m finally seeing them on the melloboat, and what a special gig it’ll be! Their first show this year, they’ll be playing a song off the forthcoming Watershed album for the first time.

  • Comus - Their first show since 1972, the First Utterance album is a timeless classic and if you haven’t heard it you should just kill yourself.

  • Katatonia - I saw them last year, but one more time won’t hurt :D Who knows, maybe they’ve got some special goodies in store for this show.

  • Anekdoten, Trettioariga Kriget, Plankton, Mats/Morgan Allstar Team and a bunch of other bands and artists on the boat you should probably check out ;)
  • Guapo in London - I love this band, seeing them live will be amazing I’m sure
